Deborah Shepard has joined Schubach Aviation as director of sales and marketing, announced Henry Schubach, president of the Carlsbad-based on-demand charter air carrier.
Shepard's expertise is derived from more than 18 years of marketing, sales, management, and leadership experience. Serving as Schubach Aviation's director of sales for the Americas and Europe, she is responsible for overall sales and sales support, implementing marketing programs, and outside charter sales for nationwide and worldwide charter.
Bringing to Schubach Aviation approximately four years of experience specifically in the aviation industry, Shepard previously led the charter sales and new business development efforts for two other well-known San Diego aviation companies and their diverse fleet of aircraft. She began her aviation career serving in the dual role of corporate flight attendant and sales manager, working up to senior management by handling private aircraft charter sales and the design and development of aircraft shared ownership programs.
Shepard attended Wayne State University, located in Detroit, Mich., where she completed courses in sales and marketing. She earned her associate's degree in general studies with an emphasis in business management from Oakland Community College in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
Born in Indianapolis, Indiana and raised in Kettle, Kentucky, Shepard currently resides in Bonsall with her husband David. She has three children, and spends her leisure time horseback riding, exercising, singing, playing guitar, and with her family.
