Learn how to engage others effectively, why it's important and what a manager's role is in employee engagement by attending the Carlsbad Chamber's First Friday Breakfast next month.
The attributes of inspiring people and how they correlate with personal attitudes and corporate needs also will be addressed. The featured speaker will be Jim Perdomo of Dale Carnegie, a performance-based training company with offices worldwide.
Perdomo began his career with Dale Carnegie in 1987 as an area sales representative in New Mexico. He became area manager in 1993 and in1998 he joined the San Diego Dale Carnegie Center of Excellence. Perdomo purchased the franchise in 2000 and became owner and president of Dale Carnegie of San Diego.
During the First Friday Breakfast, Perdomo's talk will focus on:
• Learning to get the tools needed to change personal perceptions and attitudes in the tough market we are currently facing.
• Restoring confidence in the workplace.
• Controlling fear at all levels of business.
