The shortest distance between two people is often a word, so why not learn to make a connection with potential clients with improved communication skills? In this interactive presentation, hosted by author/motivational speaker Sarita Maybin, you will learn how to communicate in a way that gets your ideas heard and encourages the cooperation of others.
Presentation highlights will include Maybin’s top 10 positive communication phrases; how to “pull rank” when you have no rank to pull; proven strategies for giving negative feedback without destroying the relationship; how to respond to criticism without getting defensive; and how to use body language clues to “listen between the lines.”
Maybin has presented workshops and keynote speeches throughout the United States and abroad. Some of her clients include NASA, Hewlett Packard, National Weather Service, PGA, and the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Prior to becoming a full-time professional speaker in 1993, Sarita worked in university administration for 13 years. Sarita has a Masters degree in Counseling, is a Toastmasters “Humorous Speech Contest” winner and is a past president of the San Diego Chapter of the National Speakers Association.
Maybin is also a contributing author of two books and author of the motivational CD “Turning Negativity into Possibilities,” which will be available following her presentation.
