PureFitness has opened its registration office at its new 66,000-square-foot sports club one-quarter mile south of the intersection of El Camino Real and Palomar Airport Road. PureFitness Carlsbad is located at 6215 El Camino Real, Carlsbad. PureFitness is owned and operated by Michael London, a former San Diego Charger. The PureFitness clubs have developed a reputation for incorporating subtle elements of nature, water, and natural sunlight to provide you with a visual odyssey of fitness and nature combined while at the same time providing members with high-definition entertainment.
Michael London and PureFitness were responsible for assisting the City of Carlsbad in changing its parking requirements to allow Carlsbad to have the finest fitness facilities for its residents and clients. PureFitness provides a unique dual membership category serving virtually all age groups and family members. Facilities provide indoor and outdoor Olympic-size pools, exercise pools, luxurious locker rooms, tanning, day spa services, massage sanctuaries, and physical therapy/chiropractic services, in addition to sports and golf-related services. Furthermore, PureFitness facilities provide multiple women optional, certified training, indoor basketball and collegiate volleyball courts, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam and Pilates.
PureFitness has consistently been an award winner both in the fitness industry and in the community. PureFitness is a two-time winner of the prestigious San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce award for outstanding community service (highlighted by its fun-filled dramatic Thanksgiving Day San Diego Cares 5K Run/Walk which has raised over $110,000 in the last two years). Steve Scott, American Olympian, former world record holder, and still current American record holder for track and field, coaches for California State San Marcos and has agreed to partner with PureFitness for the upcoming 2005 Thanksgiving Day race.
California State San Marcos will be using the PureFitness facilities to improve performances. PureFitness has also made arrangements to make the beautiful multifaceted facilities available for the athletes of Carlsbad High School's football and other sports teams.
