Richard Arroyo has joined GVA IPC as president of its commercial mortgage services division, announced Jay Diskin, CCIM, SIOR, president and CEO of the San Diego-headquartered commercial real estate brokerage firm.

Arroyo, who brings to GVA IPC more than 25 years of commercial real estate experience, focuses primarily on commercial income properties and commercial mortgage brokerage in his new position.

For nine months prior to joining GVA IPC, Arroyo signed on as principal of Baymont Capital Advisors, a commercial mortgage company. In this position, which he continues to hold, Arroyo has placed more than $25 million in interim construction loans with various community banks.

Previously he served 18 months as senior vice president of Community National Bank in El Cajon; three years as a senior vice president of Neighborhood National Bank in National City as well as nine months as principal of Triad Capital Advisors in San Diego. Arroyo was also president and founder of the Arroyo Company where he performed consulting services as a subcontractor to large accounting firms.

Arroyo is a licensed California Real Estate Broker and member of the Risk Management Association and the CCIM Institute.
