When the road to success gets too bumpy, sometimes you need to look for some way to smooth out your stress and bring your life back into perspective.
Oct. 13-22 you can join me on a great trip to Greece. We have scheduled a trade mission to help expand your horizons that includes tours and a four-day cruise.
We have taken two international trips, both to China, over the last three years.
We will depart from Los Angeles International Airport and fly to Athens, Greece. During the trip, we will visit Delphi, Mycenae, Epidaurus, Athens, Mykonos, Rhodes, Crete and Santorini, as well as Kusadasi, Turkey.
Doesn't that sound better than sitting in gridlock on Interstate 5? It certainly does to me.
Four days of the trip will be aboard the cruise ship Aquamarine to discover Athens, Mykonos, Rhodes, Crete and Santorini. We won't be changing hotels each day, but we will enjoy a beautiful cruise to the most desirable Greek islands.
If the local grind is getting to you, why not take a look at our fantastic trip to Greece from Oct. 13-22, 2010. If you want more information, go to our Web site or call the chamber office at (760) 931-8400 and ask for Deveney Gibbons at ext. 217.
There is an information meeting to discuss the trip from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 11 at the chamber, 5934 Priestly Drive, Carlsbad. Refreshments will be served.
Here are some thoughts about success to contemplate as you think about going to Greece with me this fall:
• I don't care what you do for a living. If you love it, you are a success.
• If you have lived well, laughed often and loved much, consider yourself a success.
• The Lord gave us two ends, one to sit on and the other to think with. Success depends on which one we use the most.
• The difference between a successful career and a mediocre one sometimes consists of leaving about four or five things a day unsaid.
Last but not least, here is a cute thought: The time to relax is when you don't have the time for it.
