Are you on track to achieve the goals you set for 2008? If not, why? Are you blaming the government, the economy or others you work with? Take responsibility; times may be tough, but you have to be tougher.
You must develop the mindset necessary to overcome obstacles, welcome change and experience extraordinary levels of professional and personal success. How to break through all of the barriers and negative habits holding you hostage will be the topic of the chamber's First Friday Breakfast next month.
The featured speaker will be Brian Adams, a published author, award-winning speaker and a 6th degree Black Belt who has taught martial arts for 24 years. While teaching people physical self-defense, he realized it is more important to teach them mental self-defense.
Through his company, Endless Possibilities, Adams enhances the lives of others by sharing his belief that if you apply the basic principals of martial arts to your mind, you can achieve anything you want. He loves to show business professionals how to double their profits by motivating their staff to turn every customer into a life-long client.
During the First Friday Breakfast, Adams will talk about how to:
• Break through years of negative programming.
• Control your emotions, so they don't control you.
• Develop the drive, determination and dedication necessary to achieve.
• Perform at your peak any day of the week and any minute of the day.
• Bring out the best in others and help them perform at their peak.
First Friday Breakfast is the chamber's premiere networking and business promotional event, and one of the most regularly attended monthly programs. The breakfast will be from 7 to 9 a.m. June 6 at Windmill Banquets & Catering, 890 Palomar Airport Road, Carlsbad, 92008.
Tickets for the event are $30 for chamber members and $40 for prospective members registered by May 30. After May 30, and at the door, tickets are $50. At the door, seating is not guaranteed and is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Tabletop exhibits or Soapbox presentations are available to promote your business for $70 each, which includes one breakfast, and must be reserved in advance by calling Bev Jorgensen, the chamber's director of corporate relations and member services, at (760) 931-8400.
