Considering more than 62 million American households have Internet access, it's no surprise that companies large and small are changing the way they communicate with the public.
More and more businesses are beginning to use the Internet as their most popular advertising tool. Today, effective online advertising helps spread the buzz swiftly and appropriately about a company's product or services.
In this technologically savvy world, the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce is helping business owners target their market while maximizing their opportunity for great business exposure.
The chamber offers banner, tile and directory enhancement ads on its Web site to help business owners build awareness and visibility for their company. The site is a dependable resource used by members and non-members to find companies they can rely on for products and services.
With more than 3 million page views last year, more than half of which were visiting the site's directory, companies are easily able to capture the attention of their future customers. Directory enhancement ads are $350 for the entire year, which is only about $29 per month.
Jeff Lynch, president of Lynch Interactive, a full-service marketing and Web site development company that maintains the chamber's Web site, said the site's ad service provides a number of different opportunities for companies to promote their business, products and services.
The site has banner ads at the bottom and tile ads on the left of every page. Companies also can sponsor specific sections of the site.
“Advertising on the Web site is the same as advertising in print in the sense that it gives you the opportunity to get in front of your potential customers with your message. The big advantage that the Internet has is that people can immediately click on your ad and go to your Web site to learn more about your product or service,” Lynch said.
