More than 100 members of the Village Branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad enjoyed a Thanksgiving feast in November, thanks to the sponsorship support of Invitrogen, a biotechnology company based in Carlsbad.
The event featured a host of fun activities, including a petting zoo, face painting, an inflatable bounce house, balloon art and games. The morning activities culminated with a lunchtime buffet of traditional Thanksgiving treats, such as turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, corn, beans and delicious desserts.
The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad is to provide activities and experiences that enrich the lives of young people, inspiring and enabling them to realize their full potential. The organization achieves its mission by providing a safe place to learn and grow, ongoing relationships with caring professionals, life-enhancing programs, character development experiences, hope and opportunity.
