Jeff Segall has recently joined Tri-City Medical Center's administrative staff as their Director of Community Relations. In this senior role, Segall is responsible for maintaining all external contacts with the community and the media.

His responsibilities include promoting the Medical Center's activities and services through print and electronic news media and enhancing the visibility of the facility with key community stakeholders in each of the District's three communities: Oceanside, Vista and Carlsbad. These stakeholders include elected and appointed officials, regional and city governmental staffs, chambers of commerce, other local and regional economic development associations, service clubs, faith-based organizations, senior citizen groups and the community at large.

In addition, he serves as the Medical Center's Chief Public Information Officer (PIO), responding to media inquiries regarding emergency incidents or issues that impact the hospital and its operations.

Segall is a prominent community figure. In 2004, he served as chairman of the board for the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce, the 2nd largest Chamber in San Diego County and 10th largest in the state. He currently serves on the Chamber's executive and personnel committees as immediate past chairman of the board. He has been a member of the chamber since 1998.

Segall also serves on the Carlsbad Planning Commission, a position he has held since 1999. He served as chair of the commission in 2001 and again last year.

A member of the Carlsbad Hi-Noon Rotary Club, board member of the Carlsbad Educational Foundation, the Rotary Club of Carlsbad and the Tri-City Hospital Foundation, Segall believes in community participation.

Segall previously held positions with Wells Fargo Bank, the World Trade Center- San Diego, Southern California Gas Company and Westinghouse Broadcasting Company's Los Angeles All-News Radio Station KFWB.

He lives in Aviara with his wife, Laura, and their two children, Kate and Robert.
