Residents can celebrate their community and enjoy a reduced-price day at LEGOLAND? California. For just $15 per ticket, North County residents can participate in Community Day on Saturday, October 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Proceeds from ticket sales benefit the Carlsbad Educational Foundation (CEF) and the Kids Are Worth A Million? program, a foundation that supports educational programs in the Carlsbad Unified School District.

"We're thrilled to contribute to the work of the Carlsbad Educational Foundation," said President and General Manager of LEGOLAND California, John Jakobsen. "LEGOLAND California is devoted to children and we want to create strong ties to the community. Community Day is the perfect way to tie those two goals together."

Jakobsen was instrumental in site selection for the Carlsbad-based theme park which opened in 1999 and was part of the project and design team that built the traveling LEGO Tower with bricks commemorating donations to Kids Are Worth a Million?. LEGOLAND California values include a commitment to learning through play, creativity and imagination.

Adults can join in the fun on November 6 for the 5th Annual Carlsbad Golf Classic. The tournament will be held at El Camino Country Club and includes a silent auction.
