Mark Stevenson
Chief Operating Officer

What are current trends in the life sciences and how is Life Technologies addressing them?
The growing importance of applied markets is a trend across the life sciences space and is an area of significant focus at Life Technologies. Our line of DNA forensic testing products have been market leaders since that field's inception and we also offer genetic testing products for food safety and animal health applications.

We are expanding our footprint in the clinical diagnostics space and translational medical research, helping to bridge the gap between academic discovery and delivering truly individualized medicine to patients in the community hospital setting.

Where do you see your company's growth?
Life Technologies is a trusted scientific partner and collaborator to our customers. We believe that exhibiting true thought leadership in our space and not simply functioning as a provider of products has been key to our success and will continue to be fundamental as we move forward.
We have also for the last several years maintained a laser focus on emerging markets. As science grows at a rapid pace in the developing world, particularly in China and India, we will continue to grow our presence in these countries as well.
