How important are greeting cards? For friends and relatives, they're nice to receive in the mail to stay connected. For businesses, keeping in touch could mean the difference between keeping or losing a client, which could ultimately equate to thousands of dollars.
Vista resident Mira Cole and her sister experienced this situation first-hand. They had purchased a home in Las Vegas a few years ago as a rental property. When it came time to sell the home for a tidy profit and buy a new house, Cole thought of using the same real estate agent that had originally sold her the home. But the agent hadn't kept in touch?not a single card or phone call. That didn't sit well with Cole or her sister, so they used a different agent with whom they became friends. By losing touch, the previous agent lost out on a $23,000 commission and the potential for more sales down the road with Cole and her sister.

Cole used this story and other similar experiences as a springboard to launch a greeting card business. The business name? It Is Done! "Remembering client anniversaries, birthdays or Christmas with a simple card will make you a very thoughtful person in their eyes," says Cole, who started her business eight months ago, provides a greeting card service that allows companies to be in front of their clients several times a year. Its purpose is to provide an inexpensive way for businesses to thoughtfully stay in touch with clients four-to-six times a year using greeting cards. "Our mission is to help you transform your clients into your friends, which usually equals more business."

It Is Done! helps their clients compile a distribution list, provides cards designed in-house, addresses the envelopes, applies the postage, signs the cards in the client's name and sends it on the appropriate date. The company does require that their clients, who currently include financial, development, auto repair and real estate industries, have a minimum of 50 clients.

"This service is just a simple, easy way for a time-constrained business to stay in touch with its clients throughout the year," Cole says. For more information on this unique and cost effective greeting card service, visit www.itisdonegreeting.com.
