Making membership count: Get engaged!
It's almost the end of the first quarter of 2011 and I am writing my article for the March issue! What? Can't be! Where did the last two months go?
Well, the Chamber has already had two Sundowners, three First Friday Breakfasts, 18 committee meetings, a new member orientation, the Annual Awards Business Dinner, and the list goes on …. Perhaps you had planned to attend one or more of these in your New Year's resolution and time has passed you by.
It's not too late! You can start this month by joining one of the Chamber's many great committees which is a perfect way to meet other Chamber members to start building your business relationships. If you are unable to commit to a monthly committee meeting, then here's a list of activities and events coming up soon that you don't want to miss:
• Wednesday, March 16 is the 3rd Annual Business is Green Expo from 2-6 p.m. at the Windmill Banquet & Catering. The Expo will include a green car show and environmental short films, along with the green business showcase. This will also be our monthly Sundowner.
• Social Media classes started the end of February and will continue through the end of March. Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, E-mail and Video marketing are on the horizon.
