MiraCosta College unveiled its new Web site, (www.miracosta.edu) early this year. The Web site reflects the college's new visual identity, which captures the high quality, innovative, friendly and fresh nature of this North San Diego County community college. The Web site features a new, modern look and feel, and a n upgraded navigational structure designed to make it easier for students to find the information they need.
MiraCosta College worked with San Diego design firm Morris to develop the new visual identity, which includes a new logo that replaces the logo designed for the college's 50th anniversary in 1984. Those who hold to tradition will be pleased with the new logo, as it is a brighter, fresher, more colorful reworking of the 1984 design. MiraCosta College's Web site is reflective of the college's colors and has a more integrative, consistent visual feel and an easier-to-navigate organizational structure.
“MiraCosta College is known for its innovative and diverse programs that are offered in an accessible, caring and supporting environment,” says Interim Director of Marketing and Communications Cheryl Broom. “The college wanted its visual identity to reflect its vision, mission and core values, and the new logo and Web site do a great job capturing and communicating what makes the college so special.”
