Patrick Miller has been named Director of Golf at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa.


Miller will be responsible for all golf operations on-property and will assume control of the newly renovated 36 hole Champions Course and the Legends Course.

"I am fortunate to be familiar with the responsibility involved and what it takes to maintain the integrity and reputation for great golf at a place like Omni La Costa."


Fleischer & Ravreby have announced that associate attorney Sarah Pinkerton has become a Certificate Family Law Specialist at the firm. Pinkerton joins a small group of 200 professionals in the state of California to have this title.


Besides passing a written exam similar to the bar, the attorney must have the required experience in their field including having a set amount of trials, hearings, settlements, stipulations, and mediations. After meeting these requirements, the certified specialist must receive evaluations from other judges and attorneys familiar with their work. The attorney must maintain the designation by furthering their legal education .


Pinkerton has been peer reviewed and rated "AV, Preeminent," the highest possible rating of legal ability and ethical standards.


Kathlyn Mead has been selected as President and Chief Executive Officer of the San Diego Foundation as announced by the Board of Governors. Mead has been a long-time resident of Escondido and San Diego community. The Board of Governors are looking forward to the leadership and management style Mead brings to the multimillion dollar community foundation.


Mead is a former CEO of Council of Community Clinics in San Diego, Vice President of CalPERS Sector for Blue Shield of California, President and CEO of Sharp Health Plan in San Diego, and Vice President of Managed Care at the Children's Hospital in San Diego.


Current San Diego Foundation President and CEO Bob Kelly will retire this year after 20 years of service to the San Diego community.

"Together with our distinguished Board of Governors, our team will work with San Diego community leaders to ensure the vision for a greater San Diego is realized."


Silvergate Bank has announced that Derek Eisele has been promoted to president.


Since co-founding the bank in 1996, Eisele has served as vice chairman, executive vice president and chief credit officer of the company.


Plans for Eisele will continue his role as chief credit officer along with his new role as president.
