Interconnect with likeminded professionals next month during the Carlsbad Chamber's First Friday Breakfast, where attendees will partake in power networking instead of the usual format of listening to a presentation from a speaker.
Like always, when attendees arrive they will be assigned to a table where they will meet seven new people and everyone will give a 17-second commercial. After that, the table facilitator will keep the conversation going by asking each person questions. Based on the answers, the facilitator will suggest what chamber committees each person should partake in and which people at the table should partner together or refer each other.
At end, each person will move to a different table and meet seven more new people. This roundtable setting will give attendees the chance to meet up to 14 other people, instead of the usual seven.
“Everyone is guaranteed to meet more than a dozen new contacts, plus they all get to partake in early bird networking and networking after the event,” said Bev Jorgensen, the chamber's vice president of corporate and member relations. “Basically, each person can network until their little heart is content.”
First Friday Breakfast is the chamber's premiere networking and business promotional event, and one of the most regularly attended monthly programs. The breakfast will be from 7 to 9 a.m. April 3 at the Windmill Banquet & Catering, 890 Palomar Airport Road, Carlsbad, 92008.
Tickets for the event are $30 for chamber members and $50 for prospective members registered by March 27. After March 27, and at the door, tickets are $55. At the door, seating is not guaranteed and is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Tabletop exhibits or Soapbox presentations are available to promote your business for $70 each, which includes one breakfast, and must be reserved in advance by calling Deveney Gibbons, the chamber's member services manager, at (760) 931-8400.
