Pest control fees increase for property owners
In July, voters approved an increase in annual San Diego County pest control fees that will affect home and business owners. The fees will be used to fight the spread of West Nile virus and other diseases spread by pests. The fee increases, approved by voters in a mailed-ballot election in May and June, are expected to generate $9.6 million in 2005.
