As we start to prepare for the New Year, I thought it would be appropriate to share some thoughts with you as new budgets and plans are made.
• Learn from the mistakes of others, you can never live long enough to make them all yourself.
• It's good to have money and the things money can buy, but it's good to check once in a while and make sure you haven't lost the things that money can't buy.
• If everybody obeyed the Ten Commandments, there might not be the 11 o'clock news.
• People may forget how fast you did a job, but they will remember how well you did it.
• Quantity is what you can count. Quality is what you can count on.
• You cannot do a kindness too soon, because you never know how soon it will be too late.
• When you think of a nice thing to do for someone, don't just think it. Do it.
• When you have a kind thought, express it. Bring it to life. Put it into action.
• If you admire something someone has said or done, speak up and say so. You will both be richer for it.
• Praise does wonders for the sense of someone's hearing.
• One thing a speaker should remember for sure, the mind can absorb only what the seat can endure.
• The difference between a successful career and a mediocre one sometimes consists of leaving about four or five things a day unsaid.
