The Village Branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad offered parents a night out last month to do extra holiday shopping or to enjoy a nice, quiet dinner.
The branch entertained approximately 100 kids, including members and non-members of the club, during its free Reindeer Daze event on the evening of Dec. 5. During the holiday event, volunteers led a variety of activities, including hoola hooping, face painting, arts and crafts, limbo, basketball, cookie decorating and story telling with Santa Claus.
