Flavors of the Village brought more than 300 hungry people to downtown Carlsbad May 31.
The event, which featured 21 restaurants, gave attendees the opportunity to sample the best places to eat in the Village. Naked Caf?, Senor Grubby's, Hennessey's Tavern, Branchi's Caldo Pomodoro, Fish House Vera Cruz and Le Passage French Bistro are just a few of the eateries that participated.
“We were so excited to have so many restaurants participating this year,” said Robin Young, executive director of the Carlsbad Village Association, which presents the event each year. “The diversity of the foods was fabulous.”
Shuttle service provided by Palomar Limousines transported attendees to the outer lying restaurants. Dessert samples were given out by nine businesses in the Village and six musicians provided entertainment throughout the area.
Young said the event was so successful that most of the restaurants ran out of food.
