Robert H. Rosenthal is our honoree for the month of May for many reasons. Among other things, he has been a dedicated Ambassador for seven years volunteering to work at most of our Chamber functions on a monthly basis.
Robert Rosenthal grew up in New Jersey and spent the first twenty years of his career in the hotel/motel business. He owned several hotels in New Jersey as well as motels in Florida. He also owned a nightclub in New York City, before moving to San Diego in 1979.
Robert has had a varied career as an entrepreneur ranging from owning two Burger King restaurants, a Mail Boxes, Etc. franchise (now UPS), and a residential cleaning business. He became involved in the telecom industry in San Diego selling many products and services including long distance and local telephones services, paging services and Internet access, both wired and wireless.
As the industry changed and more companies came into the market profits decreased and in 2002 he moved into the health industry, also as an account representative.
During this time he became aware of Pre-Paid Legal Services and Identity Theft Protection and joined them as a member three years ago.
