Take a step in the right direction by attending the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce's Sundowner hosted at Project Walk from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 20.
Project Walk, located at 2738 Loker Ave. in Carlsbad, exists to provide an improved quality of life to people with spinal cord injuries through intense exercise-based recovery programs, education, support and encouragement. The nonprofit organization helps give people with spinal cord injuries the independence, hope and dreams that were lost as a result of this devastating reality.
Project Walk clients are given the chance to live beyond what they have come to know while in their wheelchairs. Through the dedication of the staff and the support of donors, they are able to achieve things that were once a memory of what they were able to do before being injured. At Project Walk, clients continue to prove that spinal cord injuries do not always mean life in a wheelchair, and that recovery is possible.
Make your future business connections at the chamber's Sundowner, which will be sure to please with plenty of food, drinks, raffle prizes and lots of networking! Admission is $5 for chamber members and $15 for prospective members.
The chamber would like to thank those companies that donated raffle prizes for the January Sundowner at The Crossings at Carlsbad.
For more information or to donate a raffle prize, call Bev Jorgensen, the chamber's director of corporate relations and member services, at (760) 931-8400 or e-mail her at [email protected].
