Small business workshop gives you the answers to your financing questions

Beginning in August, the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce will host monthly workshops for small businesses to help develop and improve business practices. The first workshop, on small business financing, will be held on Wednesday, August 24, from 8, 10 a.m. at the Chamber. Topics to be covered will include the following:
Bootstrap financing
Angels
Non-bank commercial
Venture capital
Commercial banks
Government guarantee/assisted programs
Borrowing matrix
Business plan preparation
Package preparation
Relationship with your lender
If you're considering new financing for your existing business or financing for a start-up business, this workshop will give you the information you need to determine which direction to pursue.Lenders will be available to discuss their programs and help you develop a package for submission.
