Spring is almost here and what is more invigorating than a brisk walk in the cool sunshine? Thanks to Project Walk, the host for the Carlsbad Chamber Sundowner, that is now a reality for some people who thought they would never experience that joy.
The March 15 Sundowner will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 2738 Loker Ave., W. in Carlsbad. Our host, Project Walk?, is internationally recognized as the standard in exercise-based recovery for people with spinal cord injuries; providing hope, improved quality of life and a chance for life beyond a wheelchair.
Join the Chamber for an evening of food, drinks and lots of networking. Admission is $5 for Chamber members and $15 for prospective members. The Chamber would like to thank those companies who donated raffle prizes for our February Sundowner at the Museum of Making Music. For more information or to donate a raffle prize, contact Denise Wigley at (760) 931-8400.
Project Walk? is changing the outcomes for those who have recently suffered a spinal cord injury (SCI). Each year, hundreds of people and their families spend anywhere from one week to several years at Project Walk? going through the program. For more information on Project Walk?, please visit www.projectwalk.org or call Ted Dardzinski at (760) 431-9789.
