SCORE, "America's Counselors to Small Businesses" is looking for a few good experienced business men and women who want to make a difference to their communities, and have the satisfaction of sharing business experiences with others. Over 12,000 SCORE counselors work together to offer free business counseling and low-cost workshops, women's programs and cyber (e-mail) counseling throughout the U.S. Out of that total, there are 70 counselors right here in San Diego County.

So what is it about SCORE that makes it so wonderful that business entrepreneurs should consider being a part of it?

Over ten SCORE workshops in San Diego continue to be very popular for business start-ups. SCORE also offers an "Entrepreneur Series" This is a package deal of seven workshops that allows those who sign up to save up to $193 in registration costs; the program also covers a wide range of business issues. Oftentimes SCORE and the Chamber partner together to offer the programs at the Chamber as well.

There is also the Women's Business Breakfast programs which are held the third Friday of each month at the Olympic Resort in Carlsbad; this program is going on its tenth year. SCORE counselors are also available at the Carlsbad Chamber every Monday and Friday by appointment to assist business owners or those aspiring to be.
