November's street faire, sponsored by the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce, was a huge success with an estimated 100,000 people in attendance.
Carlsbad's weather cooperated, providing faire-goers with a warm and sunny day.
For Bob Simpson and his grandson, Katin, both of Glendora, the trek to Carlsbad for the faire is an annual traditional.
"(It is) kind of fun to walk (and) to see the people," Bob Simpson said.
Katin, 3, enjoyed all the toys offered by faire vendors.
Among the various vendors were unique creations such as fused-glass jewelry, as well as staple favorites such as Kettle corn and lemonade.
At The Magical Gemstone's booth on Grand Avenue, business was booming as owner Kelly Grimes greeted and helped many customers.
"It's a great way to reach a large amount of people in a short amount of time," Grimes said.
In addition to the thousands of feet padding the pavement, four-legged friends were in abundance at this year's faire.
Pat Lentner, of Escondido, and her dog come to the fair every year.
"My dog thoroughly enjoys it," Lentner said.
