A Village business forum was held March 5 at the Carlsbad Inn to discuss what can be done from a collaborative standpoint to keep the Village strong, continue the wonderful mix of businesses and help the area get better each day.
It was a kick-off meeting to an ongoing effort to continue to enhance the business environment in the Village and for all interested parties to work together to continue the business revitalization effort that has been occurring for many years.
Bob Doyle, author and law of attraction specialist, professes that “the law of attraction says like attracts like, and so as you think a thought, you are also attracting like thoughts to you.” In other words, negative thought begets negative things and positive thought begets positive things.
In the Village, a declaration has been made to think and act in a positive way. To think is to become. Here is what we think about the Village:
• It is a vibrant commercial center that attracts new exciting and unique businesses, and helps existing businesses to grow and prosper tremendously.
• It offers a platinum shopping experience for all who visit.
• There is an abundance of free parking in the area; more than plenty for all who work, live, shop and play there.
• It is an incredible gift to Carlsbad and provides a variety of opportunities for shopping, eating, entertainment and much more.
• It is a fun place to be.
Join us in the excitement and let us know what you can do to help in the collective effort. Be part of the movement toward the positive by thinking positive.
Village businesses can share in the excitement by attending the weekly meetings hosted by the Carlsbad Redevelopment Agency at 8 a.m. every Thursday in the Redevelopment Office, 2965 Roosevelt St. Our one-hour meetings are known as Village Voices and are provided for the purpose of sharing ideas and continuing the positive message of vitality for the Village.
Come brainstorm with us and share at Village Voices. For more information, contact Debbie Fountain at (760) 434-2815 or [email protected].
