Make time to reconnect together at Park Hyatt Aviara Resort, Golf Club & Spa – Carlsbad’s only Forbes Five Star resort. Fresh from a $50 million transformation and offering brand new guestrooms, suites and several new dining experiences, one of which is Ponto Lago.

Featuring stunning Carlsbad sunsets the refined modern setting features Baja-inspired cuisine and specialty cocktails composed of mescal and tequila. The restaurant’s not-tobe-missed signature open kitchen pulls this unique menu to be center stage of the dining experience.

The design of Ponto Lago was inspired by the Southern California lifestyle and derived from two words. “Ponto” is the beach that connects into the Batiquitos Lagoon and “Lago” is the Spanish word meaning “lagoon” or “lake.” The menu takes inspiration from the waters that have historically brought the bounties of the region to our tables. The experience itself is characterized by the spirit of the open flame hearth and views of the Pacific coast that capture the essence of our destination.

“Park Hyatt Aviara stands amongst a collection of luxury Southern California resort destinations with unique amenities, and we are honored to continue to reinvent this resort,” said Geoff Gray, General Manager of Park Hyatt Aviara. “We are proud to usher in this iconic and exceptional resort’s next chapter and a new level of understated luxury in Southern California.”

Ponto Lago brings the kitchen into the dining room, inviting diners to become a part of the culinary experience with a stunning show kitchen. A unique Chef’s Table offers an upfront intimate dining experience with a special curated menu that will immerse you in the operations of the kitchen Guests can also enjoy the two spacious private dining rooms for up to 14 guests and 24 guests that are ideal for family celebrations, weddings, or corporate events.
