New members aboard! We just had our last new member orientation of the year. More than 40 new members arrived at the Carlsbad Chamber to meet other new members, give their 17 second elevator pitch, and learn about all the member benefits the Chamber offers.
Lunch Provided Buca
Buca di Beppo provided lunch for the new members
The new member orientation began with a lunch, allowing attendees to socialize and meet each other, most for the first time. Buca de Beppo sponsored the lunch meal. Our executive vice president and COO Toni Padron, and Vice President of Corporate & Member Relations Bev Jorgensen talked about the benefits of membership and the Chamber’s wide range of networking events and committees that they could choose from. Deb Beddoe expressed how she uses membership to her advantage and what tactics she uses at networking events. She explained her reasoning for joining the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce. It wasn’t only to get leads and referrals, she noted, but to find those that can help with her business grow and expand, or get help in certain areas, whether it relates to business or personal endeavors. She also explained how she gets a good return on investment from her membership.
