Carlsbad, August 9, 2021 – The Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce announced the opening of nominations for the 2021 Carlsbad Business, Achievement, & Distinction (CBAD) Awards for educators. The CBAD Award Luncheon will be held on Thursday October 14, 2021 at the Westin in Carlsbad. The theme for this year’s event is “Resilience”. Kurt Stocks, President of LEGOLAND California, will be our keynote speaker.
“2020-21 school year was unlike any other,” said Bret Schanzenbach, President and CEO of the Carlsbad Chamber. “Our schools had to adjust to many challenging developments through the pandemic. It is time to honor those teachers and administrators who made an impact.”
Nominations are now open for both:
- Teacher of the Year (multiple will be awarded)
- Administrator of the Year
The nomination deadline is Monday September 6, 2021 at 11:00pm. Nominations can be made by anyone: parents, co-workers, supervisors, or more.
This event will also be acknowledging major contributions to our community in other areas: Business, Public Safety, and First Responders.
