Cassidy Turley and the Newport National Corporation hosted the June Sundowner at The Campus on La Place Court, at 5962, 5964 and 5966 La Place Court. The Campus is part of the Newport National Corporation’s office portfolio in North County managed by Cassidy Turley. The Campus is within the Carlsbad Research Center adjacent to McClellan-Palomar Airport. The project totals approximately 163,070 square feet in three buildings. More than 100 business professionals attended the event, said Bev Jorgensen, the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce’s vice president of member services. “This was a beautiful setting with an outdoor garden and koi pond,” Jorgensen said. “It felt like we were in a  botanical garden. Prizes for the June Sundowner were provided by the following Chamber Members: Signature Hand Engraving – two wine glasses personally engraved (Three sets of prizes). Hot Dog On A Stick – $ 25.00 gift certificate. Reliant In-Home Care – Two tickets to the “West Coast Funnies” at the Carlsbad Theater. Jamroc 101 Caribbean Grill – $30 gift certificate. Mercury Insurance Open – Two Upper Box Seat tickets to the day session on Tuesday, July 17 (Two sets of Prizes). Monroe Classic – one case (12 bottles) of Rose Wine SendOutCards (Robert Rosenthal) – 10 cards with postage Carlsbad Gourmet – Gift basket of assorted strawberry sauces and other good tasting things. The Sundowner, which is one of the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce’s most popular monthly networking events, is typically held on the third Wednesday of each month, although the next one will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, July 19 at Cavallo Motorsports, 6010 Avenida Encinas.
