The Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce is proud to recognize Solutions for Change as the 2025 CBAD Award winner for Nonprofit of the Year, honoring their unwavering commitment to breaking the cycle of family homelessness in North County.

For more than two decades, Solutions for Change has been changing lives through housing, education, job training, and community support. Their innovative programs empower families to overcome homelessness permanently by addressing its root causes rather than just the symptoms. With a focus on accountability, opportunity, and transformation, Solutions has helped thousands of parents and children build brighter, self-sufficient futures.

As a business community, we are fortunate to witness—and participate in—their impact firsthand. At Bitchin’ Sauce, we’ve had the privilege of partnering with Solutions for Change over the past several years, and our team has dedicated more than 50 volunteer hours to support their mission.

One of the highlights of our collaboration has been working at the Solutions for Change Farm, an aquaponics operation that provides fresh, healthy produce while serving as a hands-on training ground for participants in the program. Our team spent over 20 hours alongside Solutions’ “overcomers” and volunteers, contributing to farming projects that not only yield nutritious food but also fund vital initiatives like kids’ activities and vocational training. It was inspiring to see how every seed planted and every box of produce sold helps fuel the journey toward independence for local families.

Beyond the farm, the Bitchin’ team has pitched in more than 30 hours on special projects, from assembling furniture and moving boxes to assisting builders, distributing snacks and water, and helping with clean-up efforts. These experiences have given us a deeper appreciation for the holistic approach Solutions for Change takes to empower families—combining practical support with personal development to create lasting change.

The recognition of Solutions for Change as Nonprofit of the Year is more than an award; it’s a testament to the strength of our community when businesses, non-profits, and individuals come together with a shared purpose. At Bitchin’ Sauce, we are proud to stand alongside Solutions for Change in their mission and congratulate them on this well-deserved honor.
