The City of Carlsbad Parks & Recreation Department is pleased to present Adobe Is My Birthstone, a new interpretive exhibit, beginning June 23 inside the Kindle Theater at Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park, located at 6200 Flying Leo Carrillo Ln. Admission is free.

 At a Glance

• The permanent exhibit opens June 23.
• The exhibit commemorates the 80^th anniversary of Leo Carrillo’s purchase of the first 845 acres of Rancho de Los Quiotes in 1937.
• The Kindle Theater is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Adobe Is My Birthstone invites guests to explore life at Leo Carrillo’s Rancho de los Quiotes from 1937 to 1961. 
• This interactive exhibit features a display of handmade adobe bricks and rare large print photos of life at the ranch from the Carrillo Ranch Archives and the Huntington Library Maynard L. Parker Collection.
