First Friday Breakfast – Learn to create lasting relationships in a fast-paced marketplace

He will explain how to become memorable to your clients or customers and build enduring relationships with your new network. His topics will include understanding today’s marketplace and maintaining genuine relationships with your customers. Meyer possesses two decades of promotional experience and has worked as a consultant for more than 50 different marketing and advertising agencies. Eco Field Trip

Cost: $20 members, $30 prospective members Location: Energy Innovation Center (Departs from the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce, 5934 Priestly Drive, Carlsbad, CA 92008) Date: Friday, November 14, 2014 Time: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. *All attendees must ride the bus* Take a ride on the Eco Field Trip to San Diego Gas & Electric’s Energy Innovation Center! Tour the Energy Innovation Center and enjoy and learn the best practices for green teams in the workplace. An open panel discussion with featured speakers Barbara Hamilton, Sustainability Manager, Palomar Health, and Grant Frost, Manager of Environmental Strategy & Sustainability, SDG&E, will take place to conclude the field trip. NCYP iLunch – Making Monday Meaningful: Applying Servant Leadership to transform your work

Cost: $30 members, $50 prospective members Location: Servant Leadership Institute, 1959 Palomar Oaks Way, Carlsbad, CA 92011 Date: Tuesday, November 18, 2014 Time: 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. The North County Young Professionals, a four chamber collaboration designed for the young professionals to network exclusively, will meet at the Servant Leadership Institute where Scott Schimmel will be the featured speaker.  His topics will include an overview of the key servant leadership principles, as well as how to activate those principles in real-life networking and peer learning situations. Sundowner – Tis the season to be giving

Location: Sheraton Carlsbad Resort & Spa Date: Wednesday, November 19, 2014 Time: 5 – 7 p.m. The Sheraton Carlsbad Resort & Spa is the destination of the November Sundowner. “Sheraton Carlsbad Resort & Spa is delighted to once again host this wonderful fundraising event. We are extremely committed to the Carlsbad Community and feel our venue is the perfect location, offering coastal views of the city of Carlsbad.” said Debra Ayala, Director of Catering and Conference Services. As noted above in the cost of the event, the donated gift items of admission will go towards the Carlsbad Christmas Bureau Adopt-A-Family Project. This none-profit organization has provided food and gifts for needy Carlsbad families since 1970.
