Park Hyatt Aviara Resort is receiving international recognition for being named a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star resort and AAA Five Diamond Award winner, both of which are the highest achievement in luxury travel authority.

The Park Hyatt Aviara Resort was honored to receive the Five-Star rating, for the second year in a row, and is one of only two hotels in the San Diego area receiving this coveted recognition. In addition, Park Hyatt Aviara was recognized again as a AAA Five Diamond Resort for 2016.

This marks the sixth consecutive year Park Hyatt Aviara has received the Five Diamond accolade. The AAA Five Diamond Award is one of North America’s most respected symbols of excellence in the hospitality industry, signifying an exclusive property that showcases unique guest experiences, cutting-edge creativity and highly personalized hospitality.

“We are truly honored to receive Park Hyatt Aviara’s Five-Star rating from Forbes Travel Guide and the AAA Five Diamond Award for 2016,” said Park Hyatt Aviara General Manager Ulrich Samietz. “These prestigious accolades are a tribute to my colleagues who work tirelessly to ensure a consistently high-level of excellence throughout our iconic resort. Their priority is to engage each guest, anticipate their needs, and go beyond expectations to ensure a memorable Park Hyatt Aviara experience.” The Park Hyatt Aviara Resort features 327 guestrooms, including 43 suites, set amid 200 acres of verdant hillsides and rolling valleys in Carlsbad. The Park Hyatt Aviara Resort offers a luxurious 15,000 square foot Aviara Spa, undeniable breathtaking wedding locales, five exquisite culinary destinations, and a world-class tennis facility, inspiring guests to relax and indulge.

Throughout 2015, Park Hyatt Aviara strived like never before to be the face of the luxury resort sector in not only the San Diego and Southern California markets, but also on a national level. The goal has been to be the pillar that helps to bring the recognition that Carlsbad deserves as a destination unto itself in the luxury segment.

With its Forbes Five-Star Award in 2015, Park Hyatt Aviara became the only Hyatt Hotel, globally, to receive this rating. This combined with the AAA Five Diamond rating created a unique and innovative branding opportunity like none other. This was backed up with a robust national marketing campaign portraying the highest echelon of the luxury brand segment – all based right here in Carlsbad.

The Park Hyatt Aviara’s, Aviara Golf Club also hosts the annual LPGA Kia Classic. Through a unique arrangement with the LPGA and the Golf Channel, Park Hyatt Aviara launched a major marketing effort throughout the tournament to promote Carlsbad through multiple on–air and advertising cut back features. This was seen throughout the world by 95 million people, bringing an international awareness to Carlsbad.

The resort also launched the inaugural Women’s Tennis Association (WTA), Carlsbad Classic in November of 2015. Backed up by an intense marketing campaign, the tournament was viewed nationally and internationally on the Tennis Network as well as through Live Streaming on ESPN. The word “Carlsbad” was displayed on each end of the base lines on the newly constructed center court so that there would be no doubt where the event was taking place.

With both the Kia Classic and the Carlsbad Classic, the resort has done a great job in creating a unique awareness on a national level, of Carlsbad as a niche market in the professional women’s sports arena.

Park Hyatt Aviara has created a powerful brand that is taking the luxury hospitality sector by storm.
