The Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce recently welcomed new member Playdek with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Playdek develops and publishes “tabletop” games — defined as board, card and dice games — for smartphones and tablets. Its games include “Summoner Wars,” “Ascension: Storm of Souls” and “Nightfall.” Playdek is comprised of veteran console video game developers.
