Do you ever wonder if you are really in the know? Do you ever see an event come and go without ever knowing about it? The Carlsbad Village Association wants to make sure this doesn’t happen to you. Here are a couple easy ways to stay connected on all things going on in your downtown:
Visit the CVA website at Carlsbad-village.com and subscribe to our weekly e-Newsletter that comes out every Wednesday morning. Our website also offers an event calendar to keep you informed.
Connect with us on social media. We post regularly on our Carlsbad Village Facebook page as well as our State Street Farmers’ Market Facebook page. We are on Instagram @carlsbadvillage as well.
Consider attending our monthly merchant and resident meetings called Village Voices that take place the first Tuesday of every month. They are held at the New Village Arts Foundry Studios from 8:30-9:30 a.m. We have speakers from the City of Carlsbad present on a consistent basis to keep us informed of City issues relevant to the village. We also hear from marketing and industry leaders who specialize in small business issues.
There are many opportunities to be involved with the Village. Did you know that our weekly Farmers’ Market offers free booth space to Carlsbad-based nonprofit organizations? Did you know that Carlsbad businesses can actually sponsor a market, for a fee, and get their message in front of hundreds of people in a fun, community-oriented atmosphere?
Looking ahead: On Sunday, August 13, Carlsbad Village will be home to its 19th Art in the Village, an annual juried, fine art show. And, we have added a new event called the Crafter’s Showcase on Sunday, September 10 to highlight the many wonderful crafting artisans in our area. Artists and crafters are highly encouraged to apply soon at kennedyfaires.com while booth space is still available.
