Are you looking to bask in nature’s bounty this 4th of July Weekend? The San Diego Botanic Garden has got you covered.

A collection of  more than 50 works created by 30 artists will be on display at this year’s Sculpture in the Garden from June until April 2018.

Visitors are invited to engage with these diverse creations set against a unique backdrop of dragon trees, rare fruit gardens, bamboo groves, tranquil ponds, and other natural settings. Naomi Nussbaum, curator of this year’s exhibition, has mindfully selected diverse art works primarily from regional artists, including acclaimed local artist James Hubbell. The exhibit also includes several national artists.

“The quality and diversity of the annual sculpture displays improves each year. The program has grown because artists love having this beautiful setting for their work. Also, with over 40 works on display our visitors have a whole other level of enjoyment from their experience in the Garden,” said Julian Duval, President and CEO of San Diego Botanic Garden.

Ranging from the whimsical to the abstract, each piece has been carefully placed to help guests visualize these stunning works of art in their own gardens. All of the sculptures on display in the Garden are for sale, and is part of our fund-raising efforts to keep the Garden open and accessible to the public.
