A combined effort of the city of Carlsbad and local volunteers is the Carlsbad Trails Project, which could ultimately result in a 60-mile trail system winding throughout the city. Directions to the Hosp Grove Trail: From I-5 take the 78 East exit, then take the first exit, Jefferson Street. Turn right on Jefferson, then left on Marron Road. At the intersection of Marron Road and Monroe Street, park in the corner of the Plaza Camino Real mall parking lot.
